N\W Oregon area meet

Post by trooper T/diesel »

since the demise of the BIG ol TRIP no2  i came up with an idea, and though id post up my idea

how many people could make it to a meet some time this summer? around zip 97048 :?:
about an hour + from ol P town.

i was recently voted in as the master of the local grange hall,
and can use the parking lot BIG 200'+ buy 125'+ or more, and meeting hall 25' x 50'ish with out the $75.00/100.00 fee. 75 is for down stars 100 is for both floors, main hall is 2nd floor. nice "big" kitchen down stars.

ok hears my little line as master.

as the master or any other grange member will know we no longer have a in come from annual dues.
all cash taken in from the 35~ members are sent to the state level do to them razing the amount they need. so since the dues have gone up twice in the last three years and driven off 1/2 the members. we have desided to run with out uping the amount 5.00 and driving off more members :|

so in short for every one that has no clue what the grange is.
if any one that came could make a small donation of truly "any amount", that would help greatly in my little goal of getting $1,500/2,000 a year to keep the power, phone and doors open and are books in the black.

ok thats over.

I presented this idea at the meeting and there was no opposition at all, just them wanting to know what we planed on doing.they where not interested at all in having a engine, trans rear end taken in to the hall and tore apart and then put back in one peace.

but the idea of a glow plug slid show and IP taken apart and lade out like we had back east was seen as a ok thing.
for as long as i was there at all times, hall usage form is filled out, and they know if we are using the coking stuff/up stars floor and the no drinking rule is up held. thats about all they are concerned about.

smoking out side is permitted buy the grange, but in fire season its a no no being in forest land un less your in a auto with windows up, no matter the level of fire danger.
just that "little risk" of a state forest guy driving buy on the county road and seeing it.

the only other issue is, people finding the place and getting back home :)

in do time, i will get some photos up of the place.......
 thats my idea

as you can see, im not J\K about the getting lost part :!:

theres about 6 or 8 other ways but there really out of the ordanry some will put you on a rock road for near an hour and put new dents in you roof, but not from the out side and "very commonly" give leaky/flat tires....

I'm sure that myself and Uncle Don would make it. What about a place to camp David? What is available?

well thats something i did'ent think of, with permission i guess the hall could be used or.....

theres a spot on the place ive been meaning to clean with tigger, up buy the barn
its about oh 150X200 feet though not completely flat maybe 10/15' of fall from one side to the other, for 9 months of the year, flat and dry is rather hard to come buy around hear

theres a 8+/- cord pile of 10 year old fire wood there right now  , still in 20 to 48"~ rounds. :P dirt cheep wood any one
granted running a 2 stroke in fire season is a no-no, unless you meet bla bla bla rules.....
working on a active logging site with fire equipment with fire danger at level I or II not permitted at III or complete shut down at IV
with many more rules on top of all that....

I'll be there one way or the other. Wylie's going to be 12 this month and a road trip in the heat of August won't be in his future :( Poor old man has to use a ramp to get in now as it is. Dog's on a trip can be a pain anyway. Luv to bring the P'up, but that might be a great scooter trip too.

one of these days...one of these days... I'm gonna take a trip to Oregon. It may not be in a Pup (or a Trooper) but I'd love to see the beauty of that part of the country....and meet some of you guys too.
