C223 injector pump

Post by cheezy157 »

Hello all, I have a chance to buy a cheap 84 pup with the c223, my biggest worry is parts availability since I've had problems witt weird diesels in the past injector pumps and other wear parts being my biggest worry. Is there a way to retrofit a newer one on the engine or would I be stuck with robbing parts off of wrecked ones? Thanks.

Parts are getting harder to find. But the Bosch VE pump is really dependable. It is often blamed, but rarely guilty. ;) And in most cases, it can be overhauled, if needed.

Please go ahead and post that intro that we asked for. You can always update it once you have your P'up!

Done and done thanks for letting me in!
Truck I'm looking at is only 1000 so i might as well take a gamble I'm sure someone here would appreciate the parts at the very least

If it runs, and it's not rusty, that's a great deal.
