Dash pad

I’ve got an 87 Diesel pup that I just dearly love! It’s in such mint condition. My only gripe or regret about the whole thing is the dash pad. I am and have been looking for the holy grail for a long time and I have yet to find a usable dash pad for my truck. While looking at a picture of a trooper I got an idea. Has anyone tried to change the dash in a pup and use/graft a different Isuzu dash from another vehicle?

I've sometimes wondered the same thing, by the way. In my "dream" it includes the steering wheel, turn signal, wiper switch, instrument cluster, etc. Mine is definitely a dash with a double-DIN head unit.

The original poster was referring to the original molded "pad" that covers the dashboard.

Yours is apparently one that covers the original. But it's good to know that those are still available, too. What's it made of?
